Changan Launched Overseas Business Strategy with the "Vast Ocean" Plan

On 18th April, Mr. Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Changan Automobile, made a significant announcement at the 2023 Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition by launching the "Vast Ocean" plan, a strategy to accelerate the company's international expansion and propel it towards becoming a world-class brand.

By expanding its overseas "Five Major Layouts," Changan Automobile is outlining a clear global development plan. The company aims to accelerate its product and production capacity layout by globally deploying high-quality, intelligent, and low-carbon products, with a target to launch no fewer than 60 global products by 2030. Changan will strengthen its brand construction layout, with the Changan brand as the primary brand in overseas markets.

To strengthen its marketing and service layout, Changan Automobile plans to establish over 20 localised sales and marketing organisations and exceed 3,000 overseas sales outlets by 2030. The company will also accelerate its market establishment in the five major regions of Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific, and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The goal is to enter over 90% of the global market by 2030.

Changan will strengthen its organisational and talent layout, with plans to enhance organisational construction and establish a Southeast Asia Business Unit, a European Regional Headquarters, and other regional headquarters in the Americas, Africa, and other regions as appropriate, based on market layout.

By 2030, Changan Automobile aims to achieve the following development goals in its overseas market: investment in overseas markets exceeding 10 billion US Dollars, annual sales volume in overseas markets exceeding 1.2 million vehicles, and the number of overseas employees exceeding 10,000. By achieving those goals, Changan Automobile aims to become a world-class automobile brand.
