Changan Launches EU Brand with Landmark Event

On 21st March 2025, as part of Changan’s Vast Ocean mission, the Company hosted a landmark event in Mainz, near Frankfurt, Germany, to unveil its business strategy and brand structure for the European market.


The event took place at the Pyramide venue on the outskirts of Mainz, welcoming approximately 150 guests, including dealer group representatives, media personnel, and business partners. Attendees arrived from 11 AM onwards, engaging in a static showcase of several Changan models, including the first two vehicles set to enter the EU/UK market—Deepal S07 and S05—alongside selected Avatr models.

Key Event Highlights


The formal proceedings commenced at 1 PM with an opening speech by Changan Chairman, Mr. Zhu Huarong. He provided an overview of the Company’s operations and introduced its brand structure for Europe. Changan will operate three distinct brands — Changan, Deepal, and Avatr —tailored to meet diverse market segment demands. Emphasising Changan’s decade-long investment in European R&D, Mr. Zhu outlined plans for further expansion, including a larger team of 1,000 staff and a dealer network covering the entire continent, reinforcing the strategic vision of “In Europe, For Europe.”

 

Following the Chairman’s speech, Changan Vice President Klaus Zyciora presented insights into Changan’s global engineering structure and outlined business plans specific to the European market. This was followed by Chief Design Officer of Avatr, Nader Faghihzadeh, who detailed the design philosophy behind Avatr’s vehicle lineup.

Looking Ahead

The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with guests expressing admiration for Changan’s rich history, technological strength, and rapid progress. There was considerable enthusiasm surrounding Changan’s product lineup and ambitious business plan for the European market.
