About the Role
To be established in this role you will have up to date understanding of automotive industry applicable carbon regulations across relevant markets, report latest trends on a regular basis and assist the local and wider leadership teams with carbon emission analysis and management strategies
Requirements
BS/MS or above in Science/Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum of three years’ R&D experience in relevant industries (ideally including automotive)
Good understanding of automotive industry carbon regulations and targets around the world (battery, vehicle and/or company operational level)
Interest and understanding of latest automotive technologies, trends and challenges
Experience in automotive regulation trend analysis and engagement with regulation authorities is preferable
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide in-depth analysis of global automotive carbon regulatory landscapes (with a focus on UK and European markets) and provide regular status reports for UK, European and headquarter leadership teams
 Maintain status and scenario analysis of Changan’s (UK and EU) fleet CO2 performance and track progress in line with relevant fleet CO2 requirements
 Support process development and completion of vehicle, battery and/or organisational life cycle / carbon footprint analysis and reporting
Develop and improve carbon management processes, procedures, and internal control frameworks to enhance data accuracy and compliance efficiency
 Work closely with relevant UK and EU government bodies and non-governmental organisations to gain insights into automotive policy evolution and industry trends
Other Features
• Primary location will be at Birmingham Business Park.
• Travel may be required but depends on project requirement.
