About the Role
Electrical Vehicle (EV) Technician required to
• Support new product development and testing
• Maintain CAUK vehicle fleet
• Provide dealership technician training
• Support dealerships with issues resolution
• Work on Hazardous Voltage Systems
Requirements
At least 2 years technical experience of working on Electrical Vehicles EV’s hazardous voltage drive and battery systems. This could be from of work at a vehicle test site, automotive manufacturers or vehicle service center.
Must be qualified to work on electrical systems which could include of dealer service training or independent training provider or accredited course.
IMI Level 4 Award in the Diagnosis, Testing and Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and Components or equivalent
Full valid driver’s license
Duties & Responsibilities
Vehicle instrumentation for test, development and diagnostics
Servicing, repairs and vehicle upgrades of CAUK development vehicles
Fault finding on the vehicle powertrain and test cell equipment
Obtaining test data and initial analysis and interpretation of test results
Leading testing activities and working closely with project teams.
Ownership of data output from test
Contribute on advanced testing projects including vehicle projects
Adhere to safe working practices including Electrical Permit to Work systems
Undertake road vehicle tests as required
Support dealerships in diagnosing and repairing issues
Changan vehicle model dealership technician trainer. Become model expert through in house training. Travel to Changan China may be required for learning. Run training workshops at Changan UK for dealership technicians
Other Features
Primary location will be at Birmingham Business Park.
Travel may be required but depends on project requirement.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
