Overview of Role
We are seeking an experienced Parts Sales & Distribution Manager to lead the setup of parts supply and pricing for the UK.
Reporting to the After Sales Director, the role requires a hands-on approach as we scale the business from the ground up. As the Parts Sales & Distribution Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to use your analytical, planning and influencing skills to shape the Changan business in the UK. You will understand the market and how to build an appropriate pricing structure. You will be comfortable managing 3rd party suppliers to establish the parts supply structure, ensuring high levels of performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. This will be aligned with and supported by the teams in Europe and China and delivered to the same outstanding levels as the Changan product.
The role will lead a team based in Birmingham.
Requirements
A recognised qualification or relevant experience within the automotive environment
Systems experience of Excel, Microsoft Office, SAP
Good business acumen
High accuracy / numeracy skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
Passion for improving customer satisfaction
Agility and flexibility
Self-motivation, demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm
Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
Ability to deal with high pressure situations
Commitment to getting the job done by fixed deadlines
Possess passion for technology and digitalisation in the automotive industry
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop the spare parts and logistics function for the NSC
Collection & use of market-oriented information on import permits, customs clearance requirements, relevant laws/regulations/systems
Develop pricing strategies for spare parts & accessories
Work cross functionally to enable the supply and commercial agreements for the supply of parts
Demand planning/order collection, review, and delivery of NSC’s parts orders
Follow up on missing parts orders / back-orders
Communicate with central parts warehouse supplier and dealer/workshop facing teams
Take actions to sustain and enhance levels of customer satisfaction
Manage the relationship and effectively achieve KPI’s for the parts warehouse
Set and monitoring of dealer and NSC targets on a monthly basis
Effective forecasting and calendarisation
Manage obsolescence and back-order solutions
Managing of the returned parts policies and processes
Identification and deployment of minimum stock quantities per dealer
Accessory programme deployment
Development of tyre and glass program
Space optimisation strategy
Parts inventory and turn management principles, driving higher turn and first pick rate
Drive the growth of the Changan merchandise range, e-commerce and pop-up facilities
