About the Role
As a Senior Engineer – System Design and Analysis, you will play a key role in developing an intelligent European regulatory system. You will be responsible for staying up to date with industry regulations and leading the team in rapidly interpreting and implementing these requirements. Your expertise will ensure that the company’s products achieve full legal compliance in international markets. By providing regulatory guidance and technical insights, you will support the company’s global expansion and contribute to the successful execution of its "Vast Ocean" strategy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in automotive-related disciplines
Over 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years of experience in overseas export certification
Familiarity with the automotive product certification process
A professional background in law/international law or engineering (vehicle engineering, electronic information, etc.), with a strong understanding of relevant standards and requirements in European countries, industries, and enterprises
Expertise in vehicle access regulations for major European automotive markets (such as EU WVTA standards), with proficiency in new energy standards (e.g., battery safety, carbon emissions, charging facility standards) and intelligent driving regulations (such as UN-R155/R156 network security regulations, EU GDPR Data Privacy Law)
Sound knowledge of automotive intelligence, with the ability to interpret the relevance of technical terms and regulations (e.g., ODD of self-driving systems and road test licence requirements across various countries; international standards for power batteries such as UN38.3 and IEC 62660; and localised storage requirements for Internet of Vehicles data transmission, such as EU CSRD). Able to translate regulatory requirements into technical compliance design solutions
Ability to collaborate with R&D teams to design product solutions, guide relevant departments in developing national testing/certification access plans, and coordinate with third-party institutions to complete certification
Capability to track regulatory developments in Europe, assess the impact of policy trends on businesses, and establish a compliance risk matrix to formulate response strategies
Proficiency in English as the primary working language is essential. Knowledge of Mandarin, German, or any other European languages is desirable
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting research on certification requirements related to intelligence in the European export market
Lead intelligent system analysis and solution design in compliance with European export regulations
Responsible for establishing and implementing workflows and standards for certification in the field of European intelligence
Responsible for developing and managing the overseas certification process for intelligent systems in Europe, including the interpretation of international regulations
Responsible for driving the promotion and execution of product certification for intelligent systems in European export projects

Travel may be required but depends on project requirement
