About the Role

As Test Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for conducting or arranging on site facilities and equipment. You will also be required to support engineering activities in the test house.

Requirements

·         At least 2 years’ experience in working in a maintenance role in an engineering environment

·         Be adaptable to work on a diverse range of equipment. Responsible for whole site maintenance

·         Qualifications to work on fixed wire electrical systems an advantage

·         Multi skilled with the ability to work on building services such as heating, ventilation

·         Working knowledge of systems including compressed air, ventilation, heating, powertrain test rigs, air conditioning, fire suppression and alarm systems, supervisory control

·         Trained in the safe operation of workshop machines an advantage

·         Fully valid driver’s license

Duties & Responsibilities

·         Be responsible for the general maintenance and repair of the powertrain test house, vehicle workshop and office spaces

·         Perform repairs, alterations and installations as required

·         Conduct regular inspections and ensure preventative measures are undertaken

·         Liaise with sub-contractors and coordinate their activities ensuring work is done properly

·         Create a safe working environment through good working practices and use of safe systems of work

·         Fault identification and diagnosis as required

·         Maintain records of inspections and work completed

·         Interpret construction and installation drawings and specifications

·         Support facility upgrade activities

·         Fabrication/welding/machining to support engineering projects and test rig installations

·         Support of test activities including rig installations and vehicle development

·         Support engineering activities
