About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Director with extensive automotive industry experience to lead the launch of the Changan brand in the UK.
This role requires a hands-on approach as we scale the business from the ground up. As the Sales Director, you’ll have the unique opportunity to use your connections, planning, influencing and leadership skills to shape the face of Changan in the UK. Building a Dealer Network and sales function, to deliver growth through the introduction of an innovative product lineup that combines European design excellence with cutting-edge technology.
Requirements
Several years of experience in a similar role within the Automotive Sales & Marketing.
Proven track record of managing automotive Sales and / or Network Development, preferably in a multi-national environment.
Strong understanding of automotive industry trends, finance products, fleet markets and analytical tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Network Development
Identify, recruit and contract Dealer network for UK Sales.
Manage appointed agency to complete Network Representation plan.
Manage Dealer Network team to open and operate Dealer Network in line with Changan standards and processes.
Develop and implement processes to manage Dealer performance in line with Changan standards and processes.
UK Sales
Overall responsibility for planning and delivering national sales targets. Own the production planning process, stocking, sales targets and sales performance by channel.
Lead the sales team to develop and deliver sales performance across Dealer and Fleet channels.
Represent Changan to Fleet customers, leasing companies, residual value providers etc. to support sales performance and grow the business.
Work with cross-functional teams in UK, Europe and China, including marketing, product management and finance, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
