Job Purpose:

Play an integral role in providing effective and seamless HR services. To provide both operational and strategic support to the HR team. The successful candidate will involve a lot of hands-on work in all aspects of the HR functions. Key areas include Resourcing and recruitment, Organisation development,  Employee life cycle management, and supporting other HR or operational projects when required.

Personal Specification:

Essential skills & experience

  • Degree in HR or relevant subjects
  • Have in-depth knowledge in UK labour law
  • Proven track records in an HR generalist role.
  • Rich working experience of the entire HR Cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously improve HR processes to support business objectives
  • Has the ability to provide highly accurate and quality work all the time.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong administrative writing skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and a high degree of integrity and professionalism
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervisor

Desirable skills & experience

  • CIPD level 5 or above
  • Have work experience in a multi-cultural environment

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Talent acquisition/recruitment function and staff onboarding/exit
  • Company sponsorship management
  • Company expatriate scheme including international expatriation. Responsible for employee welfare and relations issues for both UK and Chinese expat. staff.
  • Hands-on support on general HR administration activities, including preparation of contracts, HR documents, inductions and exit interviews.
  • Work closely with the UK and Chinese staff and line managers in providing HR guidance and support.
  • Support the cooperation and communication of UK operation and China operation department
  • Communicate and liaise with HQ on HR-related issues.
  • Prepare and review Chinese HR documents and reports.
  • Undertake specific HR projects, providing effective project planning to ensure delivery on time and to the required standard, as and when required.
  • Support VIP event management including headquarter senior officials.
  • Provide professional Chinese and English translation and interpretation support to operations and engineering departments when required.
  • Support company organisation development activities
  • Support UK and China knowledge transfer programmes.

  • Travel abroad occasionally
  • This is an office-based role, must be reasonably local to Birmingham Business Park (B37)
