Job Purpose

Support HR Manager in leading a small HR team to support all HR related activities to achieve business targets

Person Specification 

Individual must have demonstrable skills at second-line level, based on experience acquired in a comparable environment to Changan UK

Essential skills & experience

  • 3 years related experience essential
  • Strong communication skills with a broader audience
  • Experienced in Microsoft Work package
  • Have in-depth knowledge in UK labour law
  • Have work experience in budget planning, recruitment and ER

Desirable skills & experience

  • CIPD level 5 or above
  • Degree in HR or relevant subjects
  • Have work experience in a multi-cultural environment

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for HR policy and procedure production and revision to ensure legislative requirements and business purposes are both met
  • Responsible for staff absence management to ensure employee statutory rights are satisfied, facilitate communication between company, senior management and staff and HR System management
  • Responsible for employee performance management, e.g. annual appraisals, PDP, promotion procedure
  • Responsible for solutions of employee relationship issues
  • Support supplier management, e.g. employment advisory bodies, legal organisations etc.
  • Support improvement of employee engagement
  • Support recruitment activities when required
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Team, e.g. system and database maintenance, HR documentation
  • Support HRM with salary and company benefits
  • Responsible for staff satisfactory survey and analysis
  • Support for the management of the company's Skilled Worker Sponsor license

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Work at site full time
  • Must be reasonably local to Birmingham Business Park (B37)
  • Travel abroad occasionally
