Job Purpose

Deliver Powertrain control SW projects for production.

Personal Specification

  • Degree qualified or similar qualification
  • Must have recent experience of working in Automotive sector (within the last 12 months)
  • Certain years' of experience of implementing powertrain control software in an automotive project (HMI is not considered suitable)
  • Must have good general knowledge of current automotive powertrain technologies (direct experience of working with hybrid vehicles would be preferred)
  • Should have some general knowledge relating autonomous vehicles and associated technologies
  • Should be familiar with ISO 26262
  • Must have strong numeracy and literacy, including ability to write clear documentation.
  • Should have experience of software development process, review, MIL/SIL testing
  • Must have experience of developing software with recent Matlab/Simulink (should be R2015a or newer)
  • Must have experience of using Mathworks V & V tools to ensure software quality
  • Must have good understanding of model-based software development
  • Must have good understanding of ANSI C programming language
  • Must have direct experience of developing real time control software
  • Must have experience of supporting vehicle and dyno cell testing
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team to demanding deadlines
  • Full UK driving license

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work within a small team to develop powertrain control software for hybrid vehicles
  • Develop and maintain software to a high standard ensuring compliance with the software architecture
  • Develop and test prototype software to support short term feasibility studies
  • Develop, develop and functionality to support production projects
  • Support on-site vehicle and dyno testing
  • Analyse data to support fault finding and problem investigations
  • Co-operate with other parts of the organisation to ensure that software meets with system level objectives

Other Features of job

  • Role based in UK with core CAUK team. Occasional travel to other CA sites, on development trips and to visit suppliers is a requirement.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
