Main Activities/Tasks:

Conduct the thermal & mechanical stress & sealing analyiss of major engine components such as crankshaft, conroad, piston, cylinder head and block, sump, valvbetrain, cam cover, intake and exhuast system, fuel system engine mounting and brackets etc. Issue CAE report, check suppliers's CAE report adn make recommendations on how to improve the design.

Conduct total powertain modal and NVH analysis. Conduct the sub-system and component level modal and NVH analysis. Conduct or write instructions for the structural and NVH testing.

Set the NVH target and come up with a work plan to achieve the target.
-
Analyse the test data, identify & characterise the noise source, propose viable and effective countermeasures.
-
Work closely with design/development engineers and supplier to ensure best value for money technology is selected.
-
Keep research on new technology and new CAE tools.
-
Provide mentor to junior CAE engineers in CAUK or HQ.
-
Manage the third party CAE jobs including those done at HQ.
